Hi, I'm Levi McCollum. I currently serve as director of operations at ETA Transit and co-host the Stop Requested podcast exploring public transit topics with expert guests. Previously as their product manager, I developed transit software like Tally, a cloud-based National Transit Database survey tool.
My passion for urban planning pushed me to becoming the planning director at Palm Tran, where I led a team designing a 32-route bus service with a $105 million budget and created their Accelerate 2022-2031 Transit Development Plan.
Before Palm Tran, I spent five years at LeeTran, rising from planner to planning manager. I secured $4.4 million in state grants, implemented the county's GTFS system, and developed their Evolve 2021-2030 Transit Development Plan.
My career began with planning roles at the cities of Frisco, Texas and Jonesboro, Arkansas, building a foundation in development review and comprehensive planning.
I hold an MS and BA in geography with training in urban geography and sustainable transportation. Throughout my career, I've remained focused on one goal: building more responsive and resilient public services that meet community needs.
